Supporting Information
Gilberts of Evesham was an agricultural implement manufacturing business based in Castle Street, Bengeworth, started by Joseph Gilbert (1814-1886) in about 1840. Joseph died at Badsey, where he had moved to (the present-day Pool House and Dower House) following marriage to his second wife in 1879. His only surviving son, Benjamin (1843-1909), then took over the business, followed in turn by his eldest son, Joseph Gilbert (1881-1950).
