OBITUARY
Her many friends will regret the death of Mrs Norah Esther Tyler Keen, wife of Mr John Keen of 7 Synehurst, Badsey, which took place at Evesham Hospital on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. Aged 46, she was the eldest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Thomas Hartwell of the Silk Mills, and took an active interest in local social activities, being a member of the WI and a keen exhibitor at the annual Flower Show. She is survived by her husband, one son, one daughter and two step-daughters. The funeral takes place at Badsey this (Friday) afternoon at 2.30 pm.

BADSEY FUNERAL
The funeral of Mrs Norah Esther Tyler Keen. of No 7 Synehurst, Badsey, whose death at Evesham Hospital was reported last week, took place at Badsey on Friday afternoon, the interment in the parish churchyard being preceded by a service in St James' Church. The Vicar, Rev W B Chapman, officiated. Mrs G W Marshall was at the organ, and members of the local branch of the Women's Institute choir were also present.
Family mourners were: Mr John Keen (husband), Miss Jacqueline Keen (daughter), Mr Deryck Hartwell (son), Mrs E M McNab and Miss P Keen (step-daughters), Mrs T Hartwell (mother), Mr Elgar Hartwell (brother), Mrs W Churchley and Mrs T Bennett (sisters), Mrs D Hartwell (daughter-in-law), Mrs E Hartwell, Mrs W Rowe (Birmingham), Mrs W Bromley (Birmingham), Mrs A Keen, Mrs C Keen (sisters-in-law). Mr R McNab (stepson-inlaw). Messrs. W. Churchley, T. Bennett and C. Keen (brothersin-law), Mr & Mrs A Stanton. Mr J Keen, Mrs P Holley, Mrs Attenborough (nephew and nieces), Mr & Mrs A J Tyler (cousins), Mrs G H Crane, Mrs H Dungworth. Mrs M Potter (aunts), Mr Alan Marshall (representing British Road Services), Mr L Leatham (representing Messrs Leatham & Wallace, Liverpool) and Mr T Marshall.
There were numerous members of the local branch of the Women's Institute under their president, Mrs S B Carter, while members lined up on either side of the churchyard as the cortege entered the church. The floral tributes included wreaths from “Women's Institute", “Leatham & Wallace, Liverpool", “Hugh Richmond, Glasgow", "All the Boys at British Road Services" and " Neighbours at The Mill".
