Mrs Cuttler died peacefully in Powick Hospital after a life of Christian devotion and unremitting sacrifice. For years her whole existence had revolved round her care of her son Jack; the love and patience she showed, and the constant nursing attention she gave him single-handed even in her eighties, were remarkable. The price she had to pay was a life socially limited, almost clositered. If she often felt frustrated and sensitive about this, it was understandable. Fortunately she knew how to laugh, even at herself. In the last few months, complete loss of memory came as a mercy to a mind wighed down with care and anexiety for the future of her loved one. Jack is in very good care, but we owe it to his mother to remember him constantly in our prayers. May she rest in peace, her work completed.
