Darling
What variable creatures we women are. I am bothered now because I feel I ought not to have worried you about my feelings et – in the letter I sent you tonight – but I am sure you’d forgive me if you knew how I feel sometimes – just one great ache for you. Nothing satisfies the longing – nothing distracts my mind – I simply and absolutely want you and nothing else and no one else. It is the same sort of ache only different as that of great hunger. In some ways it makes me quite angry because it is so difficult to fight against.
Goodnight, dear Heart, God bless you. Am looking forward to a letter in the morning.
