Text of Letter
To be read when alone.
The Theatre night nurse, whose duty I take sometimes, has gone off duty, unable to finish her 3 weeks, very run down and a horrid abscess has formed on her leg. I am beginning to think I must really be quite strong, 2 nurses have fainted lately in the theatre, one while assisting, and another one from standing so long at a theatre lecture. The whole lecture only lasts an hour.
I must stop now to keep my appointment with the dentist – ugh.
I had a nice, sweet letter from Mary today. She is very busy doing all kinds of sewing.
With much love, dear Heart, do say we’re “friends” again in your next letter. God bless you, Love.
Ever your own
Mela.
