Sisters’ Quarters

14th August 1915

My dear Uncle Cyril

How do you like the sound of Uncle Cyril? It is like being promoted, isn't it?!

Arthur and Mary have a little daughter born at 11 pm on August 12th. Mary and the child are both well. I think it is rather nice that the little girl should arrive before Arthur gets home, because Mary will feel up to seeing him by then.

I wonder which of them the Baby is like?

Another day gone by and no news from you. I see in today's paper that Mr Rawle of your regiment has been wounded - I hope it is not serious.

I am looking forward to seeing Kath next week. There is no news, darling, but I just feel tempted to write to Uncle Boo!

Best love and a kiss. Look after yourself and keep well.

Every your affectionate
Mela
