A regular rain burst took place in the evening of the 26th, which has made a healthy mess of the place, and disorganized traffic a great deal. It was useless to write for several days as no mail was going out. I am taking a chance to get this card through just to tell you I am going on well. I was very lucky in being about the driest man in the battalion and I suffered no loss of kit by wet. I will write letters as soon as I find a chance of getting them through. I have only a minute or two available this time.
