My darling Husband,

Just a line to tell you I am feeling better today, but still very much unwell, so that I can’t go out & keep mostly on the sofa, I hope I may feel much better when this has left off.

Papa & Fanny left this morning, the former seemed to feel leaving England.  Fanny has seen Dr Priestley, there is nothing very serious the matter, but she will have to take a little care of herself.  I hope you & the dear little pets are all well, with much love & many kisses

I remain
Your loving wife

Eugénie N Sladden

P.S. Will you send me some money soon, I have only a few shillings left.
