My Dearest Wife,

I was so glad to receive your letter this morning at breakfast time.

The gas stove for office is ordered.

I am glad you liked the beer but it was hardly fair to tap it so quickly I expect it will improve in a day or two. We are not brewing to-day there being no necessity so are busy sending out circulars which is a long job, it is very showery and not nearly so pleasant a day as yesterday.

Mr Marsden came yesterday with Mr Winnall of the Shipston Brewery, Mr M seemed pleased with the little brewery.

I am so pleased to think that I am coming back to-morrow to my own sweet little wife for I do want to see her very much.

I have not heard of any house yet near here but we must find one of some sort before Xmas.

Please give my love to Papa I hope he will have a good journey.

With fondest love
Believe me my darling wife
Your loving Husband

Julius Sladden
