My Dearest Wife,
Just a line before I start for town to let you know about your little boy, he sends love and a kiss to you and all the little ones I think he will be very happy although he is rather quiet just yet. Fanny asked me to give her love and to say she would write to you either to-day or to-morrow from Southsea. I do hope you are getting on nicely and shall look forward to hearing in the morning.
With fond love believe me ever
Your affectionate Husband
Julius Sladden
Kiss all my pets for me.
