My Dear Kathleen,

If I am going to write to you this week I had better do so this evening, as to-morrow I am going to the Consv. League dinner.  We were glad to have your post card this morning telling us of your safe arrivals the post before brought one from May, who met Jack at Clapham Junction, she said she had a nice little room to herself and found everyone very kind and nice.  I saw “Dip” off yesterday but could not go to the Literary on account of other business, so I got Mother to read my part of Gobbo.  Ethel has another order for fowls and eggs from Mrs Marsh also one for eggs from May.  Mrs Marsh sent her some dates and chocolates in the hamper.  There is absolutely no news but I thought you would like a few lines. Love form us all.

Your affectionate father

Julius Sladden

Baby slept all night and only woke when I was getting up for mashing.
