My dearest Wife,
I had no time to write yesterday but intended to send a few lines this morning before I received your letter, which it was nice of you to send, dear, my fondest love to you dearest wife on this anniversary and you must take your husband’s kiss in imagination this time!
We had a pleasant evening at Birmingham and again last night, I was not sorry to get home again just before 11.30.
I suppose you will arrange about meeting Judy on Tuesday at Paddington, let her know what train you are going to take. I will send her a ticket and instructions about dispatching her luggage. I expect you will manage to see Aunt George before you return.
Evesham expresses great regret at the sudden death of Col Long.
I really cannot write more just now. Love to all
Your devoted Husband

Tell George his duologue seems generally voted good & suitable.
