Letters from Benson Parsick (Ben) Wall (1869-1940), uncle of Mela Brown Constable
Benson (“Uncle Ben”) Parsick Wall (1865-1940), was the uncle of Mela Brown Constable, Cyril Sladden’s fiancée.
The Imperial War Museum contains one letter written to his niece, Mela, in November 1916, shortly after confirmation of her brother Cecil’s death four months earlier at the Battle of the Somme.
