My dear Ethel
Just a line or two that you may not say I have favoured Kathleen with more letters than you.
The holidays really are not far off now, I am glad to say & I know you are.
I am going to stay with Mildred in Manchester on the 27th, she can have me then & it will be better for me to go then than at the end of the holidays as there will be Mother’s entertainment & literary. I shall not stay more than about ten days or I should not see much of you & Kathleen. It will be rather jolly for me won’t it?
I am so glad the play went off so well, I shall want to hear a lot about it when you come back.
I am very busy at present with exams, Cyril is much elated at being top in the Latin one which they had today. He has been bottom so far in all the rest as is rather natural.
Mrs Wood is not well, she has a severe chill & sort of influenza, today she was quite ill. Mother has been across several times to do what she can for her & Maggie & Lily are very good & do all they can.
I went down to the girls’ sewing class today, there were about fifteen there ..... [FINAL PAGE OF LETTER TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED]
