My dear Mother
Thank you very much for your letter. May and I enjoyed ourselves very much at Mrs Ashwin’s, there was a little girl there called Ethel and she looked about as old as Ethel. It is very rainy today, it was pouring this morning when we got up and it has not stopped yet. Tell Ethel the dolls have not got up once except the time that we told her in her dolly letter, and then only Ethel and Baby. We water the plants in the drawing-room every morning.
With love from all
I remain your loving daughter
Mary Kathleen Sladden
