My Dear Aunt Eugenie

I have just had a letter from Aunt Lottie which rather alters our plans and she says she is writing to you to see if it would be better to have any visit to Badsey later, now I have my own ideas about my visit to Badsey and I don’t want it to be put off if I can help it and of course if it is convenient to you too.  I am so looking forward to seeing you all.  Everyone is so kind about asking me to stay, I shall be a regular gad-about by the time I have finished.  I have just written to Aunt Lizzie Fellows to tell her how delighted I am to go to London with her on May 13th from here and then to go back to Eynsford with her till  after Whitsuntide, shan’t I have a lovely time.  Then I wrote to Aunt Lottie and suggested this, after only consulting the calendar.  Aunt Lottie and I meet in London about Wednesday May 29th, stay till Friday June 7th, then come to Badsey till, say Friday 21st (can I hear you say “Some Aunts do have impertinent nieces?”) and then go to Bath to the Castellains for a few days, they have asked me to go between June 14th and 27th.  I fancy Aunt Lottie thinks I must go there on the 14th from what she said in her letter.  After that I would go to the Compton Seniors if it suited them as I shall be near them and then Aunt Lottie said Mrs Worsfold had asked me to go there, so perhaps Bristol could be fitted in before I returned to Muritai about the beginning of July.

I am so glad Aunt Lottie thinks of coming to Badsey for a week too, I am sure it would do her good.  She says she and I must have a week or ten days in London as we had arranged, even though I am going with Aunt Winnie as well, she is so good to us girls.

Of course I don’t know what she may have said to you or how things will fit in, but I thought I would just tell you what I had suggested to her, it takes so long arranging plans when letters cross and so on.  Don’t think I want to arrange every thing my own way because of course I am only too ready to fit in with other plans, but I should like to see you all at Badsey soon.

Much love and I hope you are feeling better.

Your loving niece

Dolly Sladden
