Unknown PATTISON (?-?)

Known As
Corporal Pattison
Biographical Details

Corporal Pattison (?-?) was a fellow soldier with George Sladden in the 1/15th Battalion London Regiment (Prince of Wales’ Own Civil Service Rifles).

No personal details are known about Corporal Pattison.

It is not known when Corporal Pattison arrived in France with the Civil Service Rifles but he was certainly working with George Sladden by early 1916.  George worked closely with Pattison and two others, Williams and Banks in the transport section for two years.  When Corporal Banks was injured badly in May 1918 (which led to his death), George Sladden wrote on 24th May:  “We shall miss him very much: he was one of my mess of four which had remained intact, with such remarkable good luck, for two years. One feels keenly the break-up of such an old-standing association.”
