Gisela Oona Mary SCHENK (later VAWDEN) (1913-1991)

Gisela Oona Mary Schenk (1913-1991) was the daughter of Harold Schenk who was a schoolfriend of Arthur Sladden.

Gisela was born on 11th October 1913 in the Gower district, Glamorganshire, the elder of two children of Harold Garnett and Nora Mary Schenk.

At the time of the 1939 register, Gisela was living at Battle House, Goring, Henley, with her mother.  Gisela was doing secretarial work and was also a volunteer in the 2nd Oxfordshire ATS.

Gisela married Harold E P Vawden in 1941 in the Penzance district of Cornwall.

Gisela died in 1991 in the Wandsworth district, London.
