Vera Elizabeth Cunningham JONES (later THOMAS) (1899-1985)

Vera Elizabeth Cunningham Jones (1899-1985) was a schoolfriend of Juliet Sladden at The Grove, Highgate.

Vera Jones was born at Monington, Pembrokeshire, on 10th January 1899, the elder of two children of the Reverend Evan Phillips Jones and his wife, Janie.  Like her father and brother, she spoke both English and Welsh. 

At the end of 1918, Vera married a surgeon, Dr Benjamin Thomas, and they had one son, Geoffrey Cunningham Thomas (1926-1999), born in April 1926 in Hirwaun, Glamorgan.  At the time of the 1939 register they were living at 26 High Street, Aberdare.

Benjamin Thomas died in September 1967 in Penarth, Glamorgan, and Vera died in 1985 in South Glamorgan.
