Frances Mary Adams SLADDEN (née CORNWALL) (c1879-1958)

Frances Mary Adams Sladden, née Cornwall (c1879-1958), was the wife of Julius Sladden’s nephew, Lewis Coster Sladden.  Frances is mentioned in a letter written by her mother-in-law on 5^th March 1914.

Frances was the daughter of Captain Frederick Cornwall.  She married Lewis Coster Sladden on 11^th June 1901 at Bell Block, New Zealand.  They had three children:  Marjorie Elizabeth Mary (1904), Patrick Dilnot de la Cour (1907-1988) and Frances Joanna (1911).  They lived at Devon Street, New Plymouth, Taranaki.

Lewis died in 1939.  After Lewis’ death, Frances moved to Nelson to be near her youngest daughter.  Frances died at Nelson on 21^st August 1958.
