Thomas Burton MOURILYAN (1843-1879)

Thomas Burton Mourilyan (1843-1879), known as Tom, was the older brother of Eugénie Narcisse Sladden (née Mourilyan).

Thomas Burton Mourilyan was born at Sandwich, Kent, on 22nd March 1843, the second of eight children of John Mourilyan, a solicitor, and his wife, Mary Anna (née Wood).  He was baptised at St Clement, Sandwich, on 23rd April 1843.

Tom married Amy Lucy Hamilton Irvine at St Alphege, Greenwich, on 24th October 1868; he gave his occupation as “Gentleman”.  They had one daughter, Annie de Salis.  Amy died in Hamburg, Germany, in 1872.  Thomas then went to work in Paris as Manager of Manufactories; he lived at 18 Avenue du Roi de Rome.

Tom died at 16 Albion Place, Ramsgate, Kent, on 29th September 1879.
