Lancelot Charles GEPP (1887-?)
Lancelot Charles Gepp (1887-?) was the son of the Vicar of Badsey.
Lancelot Gepp was born on 7th September 1887 at Bradfield, Berkshire, the third of five children of the Reverend Charles Granville Gepp by his third wife, Alice (née Wallington). He was baptized at Bradfield on 5th October 1887. Just a short while later, the family moved to Badsey Vicarage when his father became Vicar of the parish.
In 1897 the family moved to Wood Norton, Norfolk. At the time of the 1901 census, Lancelot was a boarder at a school in Surrey Street, Norwich. Lancelot’s father died in 1903 when he was 15 years old and the family moved to 192 Unthank Road, Norwich.
On 25th May 1905, Lancelot left England on the ship Orissa bound for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His occupation was given as Manager. On 15th May 1912, Lancelot arrived at Liverpool on the ship Vandyck having sailed from Buenos Aires, Brazil.
No further information is known about Lancelot and it is assumed that he most likely returned to Brazil to work.
