Doris Winifred JELFS (1906-1974)

Doris Winifred Jelfs, later Rose (1906-1974), was the daughter of Fanny Jelfs, a former nursemaid to the Sladden family.

Doris Jelfs was born on 23rd January 1906 at Badsey, the youngest of five children of Oliver Jelfs and his wife, Fanny Caroline Moore (née Boswell).  She was baptized at St James’ Church, Badsey, on 15th April 1906.  Doris was just four months old when her father died in May 1906.

Doris married Ernest G Rose in 1942 in the Evesham area.  She died in the Evesham area in 1974.
