Every Friday for the last couple of months, Will Dallimore has been posting short comedy films on his youtube channel and on The Badsey Society’s Facebook page, showing what he and brother, John, have been up to in lockdown in their back garden in Horsebridge Avenue. The subject of most of their films has been slapstick comedy with a circus theme running through it.
Back Garden Films are filmed on a Wednesday, edited on the Thursday and posted on the Friday. The duo, who are members of a movie-makers club in Tewkesbury, say that they are limited with their story lines as there is just the two of them, and have the problem of finding new ideas for films, but they seem to have done quite well so far in keeping the folks of Badsey amused. Postscript, 17th July 2020 - With lockdown easing, Back Garden Films have now ceased. As Will said on our Facebook page: “This is the last in our series of lockdown films. We appreciate your support and comments over the past few months. We will now be moving on to something new, although, as this is the Badsey Society, probably something old.”
