2nd Lieutenant Frederick Maurice Lord (1898-1983) was the son of John Frederick Lord and Margarette Eveline (née Starkey) and a grandson of John Pickup Lord. He was, with his cousin John Arthur Lord, a Trustee of the Estate of J. P. Lord when the last Wickhamford land and properties were sold in 1950 (see above).
He attended Eton College and The London Gazette of 19th November 1917 included him in a list of men who were promoted from cadets to 2nd Lieutenants, on 5th November, for duty in the Signals Service of the Royal Engineers. His name appears in the Eton College Roll of Service which states that he served in France. There are no surviving Army records for this man.
