Peter Sutton served in the Royal Navy and then transferred to the Army to join an Airborne Division. After the end of the War he was involved in the anti-insurgency campaign against the Communists in Malaya.
Born in 1925, he was the youngest of four sons who reached adulthood of George and Annie Sutton of 23 Council Cottages (now 61 Pitchers Hill), Wickhamford. He was the only one to serve in the forces.
