Details of Will

I Joseph Knight of Badsey, Market Gardener, give:

  • To my wife Hannah Knight all my household furniture and effects for her separate use
  • All my real and personal estate not hereby otherwise bequeathed to my said trustees upon trust to receive the income and profits arising therefrom and pay the same to my wife for and during the term of her natural life but in the event of the income of my said real and personal estate being insufficient for the purposes of my said wife during her life, I empower my trustees to sell or convert into money my house and land situate in Badsey Field Road and now in the occupation of Mr Alfred Sparrow and pay the proceeds thereof to my wife as she may require and after the death of my wife I bequeath all my real and personal estate (including the above-mentioned house and land in the occupation of Mr Alfred Sparrow if no sale or conversion of the same has taken place during the lifetime of my said wife) to my son Jesse Knight for his absolute use and benefit.

Executors and Trustees:  my son Jesse Knight and Albert Henry Sharp of Bengeworth, Evesham, Rate Collector
