Military Tribunals – Arthur SALTER

Arthur Salter,married, Mill Street, Badsey, claimed as a market gardener, but said he had no land of his own. He was working for Mr Ballard and his son; the latter had been in the army but had been discharged.

Arthur Salter (36), married, Badsey, the only man employed by Mr. William knight, Port-street, Evesham, on 19 acres of market garden land, said he had been in Mr Knight’s employ for two months. Previous to that he was looking after some ground for a man named William Ballard, who was then in the army, but who had now come home. A letter was read from Mr Knight supporting the application.
