Wickhamford Women's Institute

This shows the Wickhamford WI en masse in July 1957. It was a monthly meeting which also welcomed members from Badsey, Broadway and Childswickham WIs. The activities included a beauty demonstration, a bring-and-buy stall and a flower arranging competition. After refreshments the Badsey Drama Group performed a play 'Landslide'.

Alice Cox is the lady in the back row on the far right. She died in 1982 and was daughter of Mr & Mrs W Cox of Wickhamford. In the middle row, 4th from the left is Priscilla Marjorie Collett, maiden name Pethard.
