ALDINGTON WEDDING

On Tuesday a pretty wedding was solemnised at St. James’s Church, Badsey, by Rev W C Allsebrook, the contracting parties being Miss Maggie Harwood (eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Oliver Harwood, of Aldington) and Pte Frank Arkell, of the 9th Gloucester Regiment, who is now stationed at Salisbury. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a cream costume with silk blouse, and wore a white silk hat. She was attended by the Misses Mollie and Margaret Young (cousins), who wore navy blue costumes with silk hats to match, and Misses Cathie and Joyce Harwood (sisters), who wore cream alpaca dresses with cream silk hats. They all carried bunches of narcissi. Mr Walter Harwood (brother of the bride) acted as best man. The happy couple were recipients of many handsome and useful presents.
