BADSEY, MARRIAGE OF MISS G L JONES 

At St James’ Church on Saturday, Miss Grace Lilian Jones, only daughter of Mr & Mrs F C Jones of 16 Synehurst, Badsey, was married to Mr John Caddick, third son of Mr & Mrs E Caddick of Holloway, Pershore.  The ceremony was performed by Canon W C Allsebrook.

The bride was given away by her father.  She was attired in an ankle-length dress of white satin with veil held in place by a halo of pearls.  She wore silk shoes to tone and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and white lilies.

She was attended by Mrs F Jones Junior as matron of honour, who was attired in ankle-length dress of rose pink satin, with shoes and hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and maidenhair fern; and by Miss P Badham and Miss J Badham (nieces of bridegroom) who were attired in dresses of blue taffeta with head-dresses of pink and blue forget-me-nots.  The carried posies of violets.  Master John Badham (nephew of the bridegroom) acted as page.  He was dressed in blue velvet trimmed with pink.

Mr E A Caddick, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

The bride, on leaving the church, was presented with silver horseshoes.  A reception was held at the Old Schools, Badsey.  The couple will make their home at 3 Holloway, Pershore.
