DEATH OF MRS T VICARAGE
The death of Mrs Eleanor Faith Vicarage, wife of Mr T Vicarage of Glenroy, Bretforton Road, Badsey, occurred at her home on Saturday. Daughter of the late Mr & Mrs J Smith of Winchester and later of Stratford-on-Avon, she was born at Winchester 65 years ago, but spent her school days at Stratford. She was a member of England Temperance Society. In 1907 she married at Bretforton, Mr T Vicarage of Bretforton, and afterwards resided at Bretforton Road, Badsey. She was a devoted churchgoer until her last illness.
The funeral service, which was choral, was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev Canon Allsebrook, at St James’ Church. Mr H King was at the organ. The grave had been lined with white asters by Mrs G Moisey.
Family mourners were: Mr T Vicarage (husband), Mrs L Collish (sister), Mr & Mrs E Stubbs* (brother-in-law and sister), Mrs O Phillips (sister), Mr & Mrs F Morini (brother-in-law and sister), Mr Norman Smith (nephew), Mr T Stubbs* (nephew), Miss H Wheelwright (niece), Mrs M Smith, Miss N Vicarage and Mrs E Wheelwright (sister-in-law), Mr F Collins (brother-in-law), Mr & Mrs H Vicarage (brother and sister-in-law) and Mr Albert Collins (cousin).
At the church were Mesdames F Waldren, R Bickett, C Hall, A Olson, W C Manners, R Sherwood, E Pitts, A Allen, T Careless, G Crisp, J Halford, M Jackson, E Mustoe, R Hubbard, V Hubbard, Misses S Manners, N Autie, A Autie, - Thomas, V Archer, Nurse Grinnell, Messrs C Hall, E A Olson, W Mustoe, A Sparrow Senior.
The bearers were: Messrs A Hatcher, J Enstone, C Halford and A Allen. Many beautiful floral tributes were placed on the grave.
