BADSEY WEDDING
Considerable interest was aroused on Saturday when Miss Ethel Liversidge, a daughter of Mr & Mrs A A Liversidge, was married to Mr William John Knight, only son of Mr & Mrs A T Knight of Windyridge, Albert Road, Evesham. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J A A Maund of Evesham, the Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook) being on holiday. The bride, who looked charming in a gown of oyster coloured lace, with hat and shoes to tone, was given away by her father. Her bouquet of red carnations was in delightful contrast with her ensemble. Her attendants were the Misses J Knight (sister of the groom) and Avis Brown (friend). They wore apple green dresses of velvet with leghorn hats. Their bouquets comprised yellow roses. Mr H B Stanton of Evesham acted as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Old Schools after which the newly-married couple left for a tour of Devon and Cornwall. The bride has for many years been engaged in Birmingham in the nursing profession, while the groom is well-known as an oarsman. For many years he has been actively connected with the Evesham Rowing Club and latterly with the Evesham Motor Club, of which body he is Hon Treasurer and Trials Secretary.
