WEDDING OF MISS P D ANDREW

The wedding of Miss Peggy Doreen Andrew, second daughter of Mr & Mrs W H Andrew of Chapel Street, Badsey, and LAC Charles Henry William Davies, only son of Mr & Mrs F W Davies of Birkenhead, was solemnised at St James’ Parish Church, Badsey, on Monday by Canon W C Allsebrook (Vicar).  Wearing a dress of powder blue with maroon accessories, the bride was given away by her father.  Her matron of honour was Miss B Perry (the groom’s sister) who wore a grey costume with black hat, shoes and gloves to tone.  Mr D O Davis, a friend of the groom, was best man.  About 50 guests attended the reception held at the bride’s home and after the service selections on the hand bells were rung by the bride’[s grandfather, father and uncle.  The honeymoon is being spent at Birkenhead.
