BADSEY WEDDING

At St James’ Church, Badsey, on Saturday afternoon, Miss Sarah Alice Hiatt, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr John Hiatt of Bickmarsh, Bidford-on-Avon, was married to Mr John Perkins of No 5 Synehurst, Badsey.  The Vicar, Rev W B Chapman, officiated.  Given away by her brother, Mr Joseph J Hiatt, the bride wore a grey costume, maroon hat, black shoes and white gloves, with a spray buttonhole of white carnations.  She was attended by Miss Doreen Perkins, bridegroom’s daughter, who was dressed in a maroon coloured costume, blue hat and white shoes and gloves and she wore a spray buttonhole of pink carnations.  Mr W Harman, bridegroom’s brother-in-law, was best man.  A reception was held at No 5 Synehurst, Badsey, where Mr & Mrs Perkins will make their future home.
