My Dearest Eugénie,
I must write you a line to say I propose leaving Sandwich to-morrow by 1.21 train, due in London about 4.30 p.m.
I shall come on direct to Surbiton but the trains may very probably be somewhat late.
I liked your pretty Xmas card very much and it was nice of you to send it, dearest.
Mother & Aunt Susan both send their love and were pleased to be remembered. I have just been down to dinner at Goss Hall, Uncle T was very hospitable and told me when I said good-bye that for the future he should charge me 4 per cent instead of 5 on his loan which was very kind of him, this will mean a relief of £12 a year. I will not write more as I hope to with you so soon
