My Dearest Wife,
I was very glad to get your letter this morning but I really have no time to write. All the chicks are well. You will be sorry to read poor old Hunt’s letter enclosed. Sarah called at our house last night to say they had seen you and May. Give my love to all at Surbiton. We shall be glad to see you on Saturday evening.
Love from all to you both
Your affect Husband
