My Dear Wife,
I am invited to a dinner at the Evesham Club this evening and to-morrow being Sunday I will take the opportunity of sending you a few lines from the office in order that you may hear on Monday, I suppose you will go on to Surbiton that day. Little Cyril was delighted to receive your letter, addressed to him too.
We are getting heavy downpours of rain just now and you can imagine the state of the roads.
I enclose 30/- in case you should see a suitable druggeth or it will do for travelling expenses. I hope you are feeling the better for your change, but I am afraid Richmond is not very bracing this dull wet weather. We are getting along pretty well in your absence but, as usual, things seem rather out of joint.
Give my love to all at Richmond and with much to yourself
I remain your loving Husband
