My dearest Wife,
Since writing my post card to Ethel it has come on to rain heavily, as I rather anticipated, it was fine at 2.15 when I started to walk to the Cemetery with Aunt George but began to rain on our return, I walked afterwards to see Fanny Hayward, she was pretty well and sent her love to you, she is going to stay for three months with her sister at Whitfield, starting June 1st.
George is quite himself again and is downstairs, since dinner, this last attack was not from the heart and the doctor begins to think that the previous heart failure had its origin from other causes, he will have to be dieted with great care to get his system in order, his appetite is really too hearty.
I went over to see Aunt Susan yesterday and found her very comfortable, I shall go again to-morrow if it is fairly fine, Frank and Edith I thought quite as well as usual, I shall have some dinner there to-morrow and possibly stay the night.
Frank has been in for a minute but is now at Rosway and will come in again and spend the evening, as it still rains hard I shall scarcely go out again except to post, I am hoping you will get it wet at Badsey for it will do good.
I saw the death of Major Grice Hutchinson in the papers or should have been rather surprised to get the invitation to his funeral, from the undertaker, which you sent on, I presume these were sent out to all County Councillors, he being one of that body.
I hope all is going on well at home.
