My dearest Wife,
I must write a few lines before going with the others to spend the evening at Rosway.
Charlotte seems better but Mr Hulke wants her to rest in bed for a day or two longer. I found Aunt Susan better to-day but she has failed very much in the last twelve months. Frank was more drowsy to-day and weak on his legs, he sat in the garden a little.
Maidie and I had a very pleasant day in Canterbury and this morning we went over Walmer Castle, the grounds were nice and there was a splendid display of autumn flowers.
I have arranged to meet the others in London about 6 P.M. Friday. Address to me here to-morrow (Thursday). To Manchester Hotel Aldersgate St E.C. on Friday and on Saturday c/o Mr Gepp, retain Sunday letters at home.
I am glad Ethel’s “school” seems likely to be established.
George has hired a cycle for Maidie and she can ride easily enough, Aunt L has still to be told!
The weather is still fine perhaps we may all have a ride to-morrow, I must go to Sandwich again and leave Frank’s bicycle.
I wonder if you have been to Cropthorne to-day, love to you all
