My dearest Wife,
Dear old Aunt Susan died early this morning, I am so glad I saw her yesterday.
George and I are just going over to Ash. Of course I must write and put off my visit to Mr Gepp and stay here for the funeral. Please send by parcel post to me at Rosway, not later than Friday evening post, a pair of black trousers, I think there are some not shiny cloth.
In haste
Your loving Husband
Julius Sladden
