My dearest Wife,
I hope you have received my first pages of the diary, now I will send a few more and they can go on to Badsey as the others, I suppose, have done. The diary will give you a sketch of our doings and you can imagine we are having a good time and enjoying ourselves thoroughly.
The weather is splendid and we are almost continually in the open air, consequently we have excellent appetites and are doing ourselves very well on the varied diet provided. The other three are getting quite sunburnt and I expect I shall put on some extra colour before I get home. We have pretty well decided to leave Bergen on Monday 28th inst (instead of 26th) and should then reach home on the Wednesday evening, it is now 10.20 P.M. Norway time and as I am writing this outside in a verandah by the natural light you can imagine the evenings are long, indeed there seems to be little if any real darkness.
We are hoping to get home news to-morrow.
Much love to you dear
Your affectionate Husband
