My dearest Julius,
Thank you so much darling, for all your nice letters; I was obliged to send you a post-card yesterday, as I forgot to write till it was nearly post-time. As you seemed to be getting on pretty well I thought I might as well avail myself of your permission to stay till the 2.15 on Wednesday, I shall have to go to Paddington, shall I go to Evesham or take the slow train from Oxford to Badsey? Fancy my dear little man being in the choir! tell him Mamma wants to see him in his surplice, & that I hope he will always behave well & set a good example to the village boys; my love & a kiss to him & all the little ones, I hope my Baby will not forget me.
May & I lunched at Richmond on Saturday, I went shopping with Polly & bought the prizes & also a dozen tumblers, cut glass & only 4½d each, so I thought I had better get them as we wanted them. I got a nice black dress in London the other day & am having the body made here. Florence Pollard is away in Ireland, so I shall not see her this time. Susie Butler has just come home from a yachting tour, I am going for a drive with her this afternoon, the other ladies of the household are away at Eastbourne with Fanny’s two babies. Charlie & Frank dined at home yesterday, they get big boys, Charlie goes up for the Charter House exam at Christmas. May sends you all a kiss & a love. Now dear, with fond love,
