6th June 1891
My dearest Husband,
I received your letter last evening on my arrival at Richmond & was glad to hear you were all well at home.
I am afraid you must be very dull, darling, however it will not be many days now before I go home. I started from Ash soon after nine o’clock by the omnibus & got the 12.8 train from Canterbury, & got a train at Waterloo almost directly, so that I arrived here about half past three, I rested a little while & then went on the river with Mary & Fanny & some friends of theirs. They have got a boat for the summer, so are able to go on the water a good deal.
This afternoon Polly has an engagement, so I am going up to the Academy with Fanny, I hear the pictures are good this year.
Thank you for sending the time table, I will take the train you recommend, but it seem rather a slow one. I hope you went down to see Mr Savory the other evening, I suppose you have seen nothing of the Gepps? I hope Fanny will be back in time for me to see her, they do not generally stay more than a few days in Paris. I must enclose a few lines to Ethel, so will conclude.
With fond love to you & all the chicks.
I remain
Your loving wife
