My dearest Husband,
As I have heard nothing from you today, I conclude that you still think the Norwich plan will do, so I shall expect to hear from you what train I must go up by on Thursday with Juliet & where Ethel will meet us; I had a few lines from Mrs Gepp this morning, by the bye, do you know her address? 192 Unthank Road.
We left Rosway this morning & came over in good time so that George could set to his work. I think he is quite well now, only rather thin. He wants Ethel to send him Meiklejohn’s Geography, a revised Latin Primer & the most modern Physics book which we have at home. Juliet was very delighted to get us over here today, she & Uncle Frank came to meet us; her cold is a good deal better. I have got a very bad cold & feel quite achy & stupid, my voice is so husky that it is quite tiring to talk. We have had such cold weather & so much rain that it is not very surprising that I caught cold. Constance Day is staying with Aunt George now & was going to help her turn out the drawing room; she seems very nice. She says it is time Jack got other lodgings. Mrs Wright seems in rather poor health & gets depressed & altogether she is not so comfortable. I am afraid I shall not be able to see Aunt Susan again as she has written to say her room is to be turned out this week, & the moving upstairs tires her so much that she does not care to see people till after Wednesday.
Excuse more now dear, I feel so sleepy & we shall be able to talk over things when we meet at Norwich.
Give my love to Ethel & with much for yourself, my darling
I am
Your loving wife
Eugénie N Sladden
P.S. George also wants a mechanics book, the best Ethel can find.
