My dearest Julius,
I had quite a good journey yesterday, but did not manage to catch the 5.10 at Reading as the train was late & it was just 5.10 when we arrived. I don’t know why we were late, as there were not a lot of people travelling nor much luggage, but we just dawdled along at all the stations where we stopped.
Cyril came up to see me at Oxford & was looking all right.
I rather doubt my being able to get to the Japanese exhibition as Mary has had one of her bad colds & is not up to a long day as yet, & I don’t suppose Polly would care to come, however I may perhaps go for an hour or two tomorrow. Polly looks well after her outings & Harry is much as usual, fuming about people & things in general. They are very disturbed in their minds because Anna does not tell them what her plans are when she comes home, they are not anxious for the event to take place here.
My love to Juliet, I suppose she was pleased about the cat, I hope he is none the worse for his bath & his day at the show. I hope they will be able to se the King & Queen tomorrow. Mary sends her love to you all, she is looking forward to having Juliet here after Christmas.
With much love to you dear, & to the girls
I am
Your loving wife
