1st Badsey Guides, 50th anniversary, March 2006 - brief history and photos

Brief history of 1st Badsey Guides, started by Mary Florence Charlotte King (sister of the late Henry King of Bretforton Road) on 20th March 1930, but disbanded in 1950; guide leaders included Miss M F C King (1930-1934), Miss M Allard (1931-1937, 1947-1950), Miss B Wasley (1935-1937, 1940-1947), Mrs G Hancock (1947-1949), Mrs F Harwood (1947-1950), Miss E Keen (1947-1950). Unit reopened April 1976 by Mrs Elizabeth Bolland. A 50th anniversary special event held on 15th March 2006 at Badsey Remembrance Hall. A pantomime entitle "Rats" was performed, followed by a dancing display depciting the past 50 years.
