FOR 24 YEARS A MEMBER OF THE CHOIR
OF THIS CHURCH, AND FOR 14 YEARS ONE
OF THE BAND OF RINGERS
WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT
GUEUDECOURT, FRANCE, OCTOBER 22ND 1916,
AGED 33 YEARS
"LORD I HAVE LOVED THE HABITATION OF THY HOUSE,
AND THE PLACE WHERE THINE HONOUR DWELLETH."

RESIDENT OF ALDINGTON MANOR
FOR 28 YEARS
AS CHURCHWARDEN' HE GREATLY AIDED IN
THE RESTORATION OF THE CHURCH IN
1885, AND WAS A CONSTANT WORSHIPPER
NEAR THIS SPOT
HE DIED AT BURLEY, HAMPSHIRE 17TH JULY 1921
AND WAS THERE LAID TO REST.

This picture, painted by a parishioner
Michael Barnard, was based upon
a vision of our Lord Jesus Christ
seen by another parishioner, Samuel
Gresty, on Ascension Day, 1954.
The picture was given to Saint James's
Church, Badsey, by Samuel Gresty in
Thanksgiving to Almighty God.
