OF THE BAND OF RINGERS
WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT
GUEUDECOURT, FRANCE, OCTOBER 22ND 1916,
AGED 33 YEARS
"LORD I HAVE LOVED THE HABITATION OF THY HOUSE,
AND THE PLACE WHERE THINE HONOUR DWELLETH."

AS CHURCHWARDEN' HE GREATLY AIDED IN
THE RESTORATION OF THE CHURCH IN
1885, AND WAS A CONSTANT WORSHIPPER
NEAR THIS SPOT
HE DIED AT BURLEY, HAMPSHIRE 17TH JULY 1921
AND WAS THERE LAID TO REST.

The picture was given to Saint James's
Church, Badsey, by Samuel Gresty in
Thanksgiving to Almighty God.
