(May 27th)

My very dear Dada

I started this letter yesterday that is to say the date above mentioned May 26th but my nose began bleeding so I did not get any further than the date which was tiresome for I might as well have not begun at all yesterday.  I had a lovely time at the zoo Saturday.  I had a ride on an elephant whose name was Jim, I enjoyed it ever so much, I saw tigers, leopards, monkeys (some very ugly), llamas, lions, bears, sealions, etc etc etc.  One of the bears was very proud of himself because he had got a bar at the bottom of his cage which he could rattle up and down.  Audrey and Tony are coming to play with me today as Mother and Auntie are going to drive to Esher.  I and Mother and Auntie are going to lunch with Evie on Thursday to lunch with her and the children.  With love to you and Detty, heaps of kisses to all.

I remain your loving daughter
