Evelyn Fanny SMITH (née BUTLER) (1875-1925)

Evelyn Fanny Smith, née Butler (1875-1925), known as Evie, was the niece of Eugénie Sladden, being the daughter of her sister, Fanny Butler.

Evie was born at Moreford Lodge, Norbiton, Surrey, the second of nine children and eldest daughter of Charles and Fanny Butler.  She married Herbert Francis Smith in 1899 in the Chertsey district and had two children:  Evelyn Audrey (1900-1959) and Charles Herbert Wynnington (1903-1964).  At the time of the 1901 and 1911 census they lived at Bramerton, West Byfleet, Surrey.

Evie died at her home, Bramerton, on 12^th February 1925, aged 50.
